Teacher Q&A with Austin Ince
New blog posts
Get to know a bit more about our Dynamic Vinyasa teacher Austin Ince. Is he a North or South or the river kind of guy and what's his mantra for life? Find out below!
What is you nemesis pose?
I don't believe in Nemesis; If you have one, change your mind and embrace it. The things you don't like doing are the things you need to do.
Run to catch the bus or stroll and wait for the next one?
It would be at a stroll for sure. I run if I know that I will 'catch the bus' and then, only if I fancy the run but as I always plan to arrive early, I rarely need to.
What is the soundtrack to your life?
"Take it easy" the Eagles sums it up.
North or South of the river?
North, South, East or West; anywhere! When I first moved to London, I lived in the North, I loved it, then I moved to the South and I love it.
Who, in the world, would you most like to high five and why?
The Dalai Lama but he probably wouldn't want you to in case it inflates his ego!
Where is the most unusual place that you've practised yoga?
I practice pranayama whilst I cycle but the most unusual place I've done an asana practice was in the window of the Lululemon Athletica Store, Kings Road, Chelsea.
What is your mantra for life?
"If you can't change it, don't worry about it."
Tell us a secret skill we didn't know you had
I play piano, I've been a musician from the age of ten. Music was my first introduction to the concept of practice. Practice of music, asana, anything with intention and concentration is yoga.
